About SUEZ

For the second year in a row, SUEZ partners Impact Journalism Day with a special focus on circular economy, clean water and sanitation, sustainable cities, consumption and production, in line with the resource revolution era we are living in.

In a world facing high demographic growth, runaway urbanisation and the scarcity of natural resources, securing, optimising and renewing resources is essential for our future.

SUEZ produces 7.4 billion m3 of drinking water, delivers wastewater treatment services to 63,6 million people and reuses 882 million m3 of wastewater.

SUEZ also recovers 20 million tons of waste a year, produces 4 million tons of secondary raw materials and 6.7 TWh of local renewable energy. Finally, SUEZ avoids 9.4MtCO2e GHG emissions for its customers.

With 88,576 employees, SUEZ is present on five continents and is a key player in the circular economy for the sustainable management of resources. SUEZ generated total revenues of 15.9 billion euros in 2017.
